Memorial Day Ceremonies Scheduled at Five State Veterans Cemeteries
The Missouri Veterans Commission invites the public to attend Memorial Day ceremonies Monday, May 28, at the five State Veterans Cemeteries – Bloomfield, Fort Leonard Wood, Higginsville, Jacksonville, and Springfield .
The Higginsville Veterans Cemetery service at Higginsville in Lafayette County begins at 1 p.m. Keynote speaker is Paul Connors, MVC Commissioner & Air Force Veteran.

Next meeting scheduled for Lafayette County Republican Central Committee and Federated Republican Women's Club
Thursday, May, 24th - Joint meeting between the Federated Republican Women's Club of Lafayette County and the Central Committee. The Federated Women's Club will meet at 7 p.m. to be followed by the Central Committee meeting at 7:30 p.m. The meetings will be held at historic Lafayette Hall, 10th and Franklin, Lexington, Mo. Both are open to the public and refreshments will be served. Joint program TBA.
