Lafayette County Republicans and Federated Women's Club set meeting for March 21st



Lafayette County Federated Republican Women and Lafayette County Republicans To Meet Thursday, March 21 in Lexington


Joint Program on Missouri Legislative Issues and Bills at 7:30 PM


The Federated Republican Women of Lafayette County and the Lafayette County Republican Central Committee and Friends will meet Thursday, March 21, at Lafayette Hall, 10th and Franklin, Lexington, Missouri.
The Federated Republican Women will meet in the lower level meeting room at 7 p.m. followed by the Central Committee meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the first floor courtroom. Both meetings are open to the public.
Heidi Kolkmeyer, legislative director for Sen. Ron Richards, majority floor leader of the Missouri Senate, will present the program on legislation currently moving its way through the Missouri House and Senate.
Join us for an informative evening discussing current legislative issues and making final plans for our annual Lincoln Dinner which is scheduled for Thursday, April 18th at the Wellington-Napoleon Community Christian Center, 710 W. Highway 224, Wellington.
Keynote speaker for the Lincoln Dinner on April 18th will be Catherine Hanaway, the first and only woman Speaker of the Missouri House, former U.S. Attorney, and currently a partner in the Ashcroft Hanaway law firm in St. Louis.
Refreshments will be served. Hostesses this month are Lana Crain, Odessa, and Doris Strickler, Lexington.

February 21st Meeting of Lafayette Co. Republicans Postponed Due to Expected Severe Weather


FEBRUARY 21st MEETING POSTPONED


The Lafayette County Republicans meeting that is scheduled for Thursday, February 21st has been postponed due to expected severe weather. It will be rescheduled with the presenter who was going to give a program on gun issues, gun legislation, etc. This is a timely and vital topic, and we will let you know as soon as it is scheduled. Thank you for your understanding.


The next regularly scheduled meeting will be held the third Thursday of March on the 21st and will be a joint meeting with the Lafayette County Federated Republican Women. Time: 7 PM, Republican Women, followed by Lafayette County Republicans at 7:30 PM. Location: Lafayette Hall, 10th & Franklin, Lexington. Program: TBA.

 LA Gov. Bobby Jindall at Missouri Lincoln Days 2013: If Republicans want to start winning statewide elections in Missouri and take back the White House, the GOP needs to revamp its message and its target.

Catherine Hanaway, former Missouri House Speaker, at Missouri Lincoln Days 2013: "I don't believe we need to re-examine our core values. I think that those are winning principles," Hanaway said, as she summarized her address. "We really need to look at tactics. And chief among those tactics is how we communicate who we are."

SATURDAY NIGHT: The Missouri Republican Party and Missouri Association of Republicans are excited to announce that Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal will serve as the keynote speaker for the Saturday evening banquet at our 2013 Lincoln Days celebration.

FEBRUARY 21st - Lafayette County Republicans Program on Gun Rights, Legislation and License-to-Carry Classes; Public Invited






Sheila Stokes-Begley of Harrisonville will present a program on gun issues at the Feb. 21st meeting of Lafayette County Republicans at 7 p.m. at Lafayette Hall, 10th and Franklin, Lexington.

Stokes-Begley is the president of the Western Missouri Shooters Alliance (WMSA), a non-profit gun rights and informational organization.

The public is invited, and refreshments will be served.

First meeting in 2013 of Lafayette County Republicans set for January 17th







The regular meeting of Lafayette County Republicans will be the third Thursday of each month beginning on January 17th at 7 PM at Lafayette Hall, 10th and Franklin, Lexington.
