(Jefferson City) - Lloyd Smith, Executive Director of the Missouri Republican Party, announced today that Chris Roepe has joined the MOGOP as Political Director. Roepe will organize grassroots throughout the state, with particular emphasis on outreach to county chairs, county committees, and coalitions, to ensure the best organized political apparatus as we approach the 2010 elections.
Roepe, a 2003 graduate of Missouri Western State University, previously served as the Chief of Staff to Missouri Senate President Pro Tem Charlie Shields. In addition, he has extensive experience running successful campaigns for State Senate across Missouri.
“We are excited that Chris Roepe has joined the Missouri GOP as we prepare for crucial elections during the 2010 cycle,” said Lloyd Smith, Executive Director of the Missouri Republican Party. “Chris brings an immense amount of real campaign experience, having managed and worked on competitive State Senate campaigns with large media and mail budgets and an emphasis on personal voter contact. He will play an important role in strengthening our legislative majorities and electing Republicans to the U.S. Senate and for state Auditor.”
“Thanks to success in recent elections and Democrat over-reaching at the national level, Republicans are as energized as ever,” said Roepe. “As we enter this critical election year, I look forward to working with our many grassroots supporters to build a strong, bottom-up coalition that will lead to Republican victories across the state.”
