Lafayette County Republican Lincoln Dinner draws sold-out crowd despite heavy storms in the area.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY REPUBLICAN LINCOLN DINNER

APRIL 25, 2024

WELLINGTON, MISSOURI

Heavy winds knocked out the power, but Lafayette County Republican Lincoln Dinner went on with sold-out crowd enjoying Gov. Mike Parson's address as keynote. It turned out to be an impressive event with hundreds of people fed, with generators and make-shift lights. Nadler's Catering provided their usual delicious fare, and we also had a dessert bar of pies and cupcakes. After the Governor's keynote address, candidates running for statewide offices and for state senate and house seats each addressed the crowd. Thanks also to the Concordia Veterans Honor Guard who posted the colors.

And most importantly, thank you to all who braved the storm to be with us!

What's a Caucus? In Missouri, it happens on Saturday, March 2nd.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — "For decades, Missouri voters have gone to the polls to privately vote in a presidential preference primary, but not anymore.

If you were a Missouri voter in early 2020, right before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, you might remember heading to the polls to vote for your favorite candidate in the presidential primary.

But back in 2022, Missouri lawmakers voted to do away with that process. Now, voters of each party have to participate in a caucus to choose how delegates are awarded to presidential candidates...."

In Lafayette County, Caucus will begin at 10 AM on Saturday, March 2nd, at the Community Christian Center, Wellington, MO.710 W. 224 Highway. YOU MUST BE IN LINE BY 10 AM!

(Please drive around to back side entrance for admission to the auditorium.)

HOW TO PRE-REGISTER ONLINE FOR MISSOURI'S MARCH 2 REPUBLICAN COUNTY CAUCUS TO SPEED UP REGISTRATION AND ENTRY TO CAUCUS

Subject: HOW TO PRE-REGISTER ONLINE FOR MARCH 2 COUNTY CAUCUS TO SPEED UP REGISTRATION AND ENTRY TO CAUCUS

First, go to MOGOP.org and find 2024 Caucus; follow link.

Second, you much be registered to vote in your county to participate, per state statute.

Third, you must be in line to register by 10 AM or you will not be admitted, per MOGOP State Committee Rules passed unanimously in September of 2023.

Fourth, you may, for the first time in Missouri, affiliate by party with the Secretary of State's office. It is not required for Caucus. Contact your county clerk or MO Secretary of State office.

MORE INFORMATION...

The Missouri Republican Party Presidential Caucus will be held in every county in Missouri March 2, 2024, at 10:00 A.M.

The caucus will be the only way Republicans can vote in the presidential primary. The Presidential Preference Primary that most voters are used to did not pass out of the Missouri Senate last session, so we have been working hard to roll out tools to make it easier for people to participate.

The first tool is the pre-registration link where caucus attendees can register early to make the check-in process on the day of the caucus quicker.

NOTE: IT IS VERY CRITICAL TO ENTER ALL INFORMATION EXACTLY AS IT IS LISTED ON YOUR VOTER ID CARD IN ALL CAPS!!

THIS INFORMATION IS BEING PULLED FROM THE MISSOURI SECRETARY OF STATE'S WEBSITE AND MUST MATCH EXACTLY (LEGAL NAME, ADDRESS, ETC). IF IT IS NOT CORRECT, YOU WILL GET AN ERROR MESSAGE AND YOU WILL HAVE TO RunanimouslyTHE FORM CORRECTLY.

The second tool will help you affiliate by party with the state of Missouri.

Please go or direct people to the MOGOP.org website to utilize these tools, and to find more resources about the caucus process. At the top of the MOGOP.org main page there is a page titled "2024 Caucus". Please go to that page to find the links and resources for your successful caucus experience.
